Welcome to the Original & Number 1 Cake Shed of North Yorkshire

What began as a little wooden shed filled with homemade treats has now become a weekend tradition for locals across Colburn, Catterick, Richmond, Leyburn, Darlington, Northallerton, Ripon, Bedale, Bishop Auckland, and beyond.

Every Friday to Sunday, 8am–8pm, the doors swing open and the shelves are stocked with:

  • Freshly baked brownies & blondies

  • Cookie Pies, School Cakes & Millionaires Shortbread

  • Seasonal specials and surprise one-offs (if you know, you know)

  • And many more favourites, quite often at my customers’ requests.

But here’s the secret… the menu changes every week, and the best bakes don’t hang around for long.
